Our research-based Ava’s Angels Halo Learning Programs and Wings Enrichment Programs include large group, small group, and individual activities. The children are guided and encouraged to learn new self-help skills, think for themselves, make choices, experiment, explore, make mistakes, and have a lot of fun in the process.
We use an enriched curriculum, which is correlated to the Texas Pre-Kindergarten guidelines and includes lessons over many discipline areas. Children are introduced to the same concepts in different ways, so they internalize the lessons and learn to reason.
Ava’s Angels Childcare provides an environment that allows children to learn by doing. Through active involvement with the environment, children make sense of the world around them. They learn by observing what happens when they interact with materials and other people around them. They engage in different activities such as block building, painting, or dramatic play and add pieces of information to what they already know and thereby generating new understandings. Children learn simple concepts and then use these concepts to grasp more complex ideas.
